The Gallery of Dynamic Realism wanted to produce prints that would be regarded as some of the finest quality prints available on the contemporary market. Abbey Walmsley wanted to extend her commitment to quality, inherent in the production of original Dynamic Realist works, into the printing process.
After much research and testing Abbey Walmsley partnered with Image Print Centre, a world-class, London based company recognised internationally for producing the highest quality fine art prints for the most discerning art galleries and museums.
The Gallery of Dynamic Realism offers extremely limited editions sizes compared to normal industry standards to establish exclusivity for our clients and to ensure they remain desirable and collectable to the market. We provide our print collectors with a certification of authenticity and warranty with each print.
The Gallery of Dynamic Realism offers Limited Edition Archival Quality Fine Art Prints of Original Oil Paintings and Pencil Drawings. To produce prints of the highest quality it is crucial to ensure the calibration throughout the printing process from scan to finished product is consistent using the most advanced knowledge in combination with the finest techniques and materials.
The Gallery of Dynamic Realism utilises a sophisticated flatbed scanner – The Cruse Scanner. Operated by a museum trained craftsman with the experience to handle delicate originals, the Cruse Scanner reveals stunning trueness and accuracy in both colour and dimension.
The lamp passes over the original only once as it is scanned so any light exposure is at a minimum. The Cruse Scanners special lighting mode captures the appearance of each brush stroke and fine detail in textures and oils giving remarkably realistic depth and sense of feel to the original artwork. The advanced colour managed profiled system ensures that colours are matched to the original artwork with truly impressive accuracy.
These images illustrate part of the original oil painting 'Intent on Lunch.' Shown left is the area of water spray behind the salmon's dorsal fin.
The lower right image is a close-up of the top of the salmon's dorsal fin, illustrating the amazing three-dimensional clarity and quality produced by the Cruse Scanner
The Gallery of Dynamic Realism uses Canon Lucia pro 12-colour ink system which achieves superior color expression and the highest possible image quality. Canon uses microencapsulated* colorants to more tightly place pigment ink when printing on glossy or semi-gloss paper. This has made it possible to increase the density of colorants on the paper and achieve an expanded color gamut. This technology also reduces the scattering of light by the printed surface and improves both glossiness and image clarity. The end result is vivid prints that are bright and clear. With LUCIA PRO ink, the microencapsulated colorants are densely arranged on the surface of the paper or canvas where they remain in place, expanding the overall color gamut. This makes it possible to achieve more vivid reds and dark areas, which are particularly prevalent in Dynamic Realism.
The Canon imagePROGRAF PR0-4100 printer uses Chroma Optimizer, a transparent ink developed by Canon that realizes even higher image quality when printing on glossy or semi-gloss paper or canvas. When someone looks at a print, the reflection of the lighting will affect the color they see. Chroma Optimizer controls such reflected light to ensure that the print faithfully reproduces the original work by keeping the vivid colors vivid and the light colors light while also making the dark areas even darker and ensuring that blacks actually look black. These unique attributes combine to create a truely Archival Quality print of enduring quality and beauty that will last for over 100 years.
The Gallery of Dynamic Realism uses the Canon imagePROGRAF PR0-4100 44 inch wide format printer to provide unrivalled colour expression with precision printing for head-turning visuals. In combination with 12-colour LUCIA PRO pigment ink technology, the printer prints at a resolution of 2,400 x 1200 dpi using 18,432 nozzles.

The Gallery of Dynamic Realism wanted to offer its print collectors extraordinary colour quality, that represents the colour of the original artworks accurately, consistantly and that would complement the three- dimensional image quality produced by the Cruse Scanner. We looked for a media that offered state of the art image stability of over 100 years and married well with the Canon imagePROGRAF PR0-4100 Printer. Canson® Infinity Photo Lustre Premium Resin Coated paper became the media of choice.
Canson® Infinity Photo Lustre Premium Resin Coated Paper consists of an alpha cellulose acid-free paper coated with a structured polyethylene and a microporous receiver layer. This finish gives a stunning lustre effect which meets the gallery's quality standards. This exceptional photographic paper has been designed to comply with the highest lifespan requirements.

We can also offer our canvas prints stretched on specialist hand-made Cornish Stretchers from TP Timber Stretchers. Due to the unique way these stretchers are made, they remain square and are shaped to not cut into the canvas when stretched. The prints are stretched at the Gallery in Switzerland before being shipped on to the collector.
All our canvas prints come with a black edge, this is wrapped around the stretcher bars so the edges of the stretched print are neat and can be hung without the need of additional framing.
